When we let nature
do its thing, it tends to wow us. Yet, aesthetic beauty in natural
forms often finds itself confined by clichéd expression. My intent
is not to work within the trappings of “nature photography” or necessarily
toward a “deeper exploration” of our relationship to nature. Simply,
I pursue the natural world’s inherent power to give us wondrous
new realities when we do something so simple as have a closer look.
Integrating the experience of these observations with one’s personal
relationship to the outside world is an intimate process that the
viewer best achieves alone.
I work primarily with macro lenses in a digital system. While some
subjects are deliberately arranged, I strive to avoid manipulation
beyond what can be reasonably achieved in a traditional darkroom.
The results of actions according to physical and biological laws
are impressive enough by themselves |

| About Our Print Sizes: |
|
The sizes listed refer to the size of the trimmed print, including borders. Different images will have different "aspect ratios" (the proportion of width to height). Therefore, printed image dimensions will vary. We will print the image as large as possible within minimum borders (each minimum border is approximately 3% of the width of the paper).
